PADI Divemaster Course in the Galápagos Islands

Course Overview

Embark on your professional diving career with our comprehensive PADI Divemaster course in the unparalleled setting of the Galápagos Islands. This course is designed to refine your diving skills, expand your dive knowledge, and develop your leadership abilities, preparing you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

Course Requirements:

• Age: Minimum of 18 years.
• Certifications: You must be a certified PADI Rescue Diver or have an equivalent certification.
• First Aid Training: Must have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) within the last two years.
• Dive Experience: At least 40 logged dives required to start the course, with completion of 60 dives by its end.
• Medical Fitness: A Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months confirming you are fit for diving.
• Preparation: Completion of the course theory online prior to arrival in the Galápagos (available only in English).
• Internship: Additional details and requirements for the Divemaster Internship are available upon contact.
  

What’s Included:

• Educational Materials: Divemaster and Instructor manuals, Crew Pack, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, and Dive slates.
• Dive Equipment: All dive gear provided during practice diving sessions, although it is encouraged to have your own dive gear.
• Training Sessions: Confined water classes for skills evaluation, dive gear exchange, and training to assist with Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water courses.
• Open Water Dives: 20 dives throughout the course including:
• Dives assisting certified divers
• Dives for a mapping project
• Dives assisting with Discover Scuba Diving
• Dives assisting Open Water students
• Dives assisting Advanced Open Water course
• Instructor Guidance: Training and practice in briefing and map presentation, conducted by qualified English and Spanish speaking PADI instructors.
